The breakfast and dinner plates are designed with 2.2cm depth groove of 2 separate compartments and 3 separate compartments, respectively.  The spaghetti plate has a 2.2cm depth groove.  The snack and soup bowls has a 4.2cm and 4.5cm depth groove, respectively.  The grooves are meant for easy scooping and prevent spillage. The snack bowl is great for finger foods or fruits, whereas the soup bowl can be used for soups and porridge.
